Sabrina Egal is passionate about human rights research, especially in the East Africa region. As a paralegal/case manager at Hines Immigration Law, she assists clients in various immigration matters, such as adjustment of status, asylum, and family-based petitions.

After graduating from the Univerity of Minnesota in 2022, Sabrina became a Research Fellow at the Univerity of Pennsylvania, where she gained leadership—organizational, and research skills. Sabrina previously held an internship role at the U.S. State Department. She researched at the University of California's Security and Political Economy (SPEC) Lab and the Univerity of Minnesota's Political Science Department.

Sabrina is a first-generation daughter of Somali immigrants. Her parents fled the Somali civil war and immigrated to the U.S. Sabrina has a personal understanding of the effects of war and conflict on refugees and asylum seekers. Sabrina is passionate about human rights, international relations, and immigration. During her free time, Sabrina enjoys spending time with family and friends and walking around the lakes in Minneapolis.
